Product Care and Cleaning
Aviator Leather
On the Aviator Leather Collection
Clean this leather with warm water and a soft cloth. For best results, clean the entire panel evenly, not just the soiled spot. Do not saturate. Allow to dry thoroughly.
We do not recommend using saddle soaps, commercial leather cleaners or preservatives. While these products will not harm the leather, they often contain wax or oil, which can darken the leather or cause it to permanently show water spots.
Ballistic Nylon
On The Intensity® Collection
Ballistic nylon is treated to repel water, dirt and stains, which makes cleaning easy. Clean with mild soap and water using a nylon-bristled brush. Do not saturate the fabric. For best results, clean the entire panel, not just the soiled area. Stubborn stains may be treated with Simple Green®, Fantastik®, Woolite® or 409®. Foaming upholstery cleaners made for wool-nylon blend fabrics also works well. After your fabric has been cleaned, spray it with Scotchgard® to restore its water, dirt and stain resistance properties. These cleaners should not be used on leather trim.*

Belting Leather
On The Belting Leather Collection, The Wings® Collection, The Tweed™ Collection, The J Hartmann Reserve Collection
This impressive leather acquires a lustrous patina with age. To clean, wash with a soft cloth and warm water. For best results, clean the entire panel evenly, not just the soiled spot. Do not saturate. Allow to dry thoroughly.
We do not recommend using saddle soaps, commercial leather cleaners or preservatives. While these products will not harm the leather, they often contain wax or oil, which can darken the leather or cause it to permanently show water spots.
Scuffs or bruises can be minimized by rubbing the area with a soft, dry cloth. This brings the natural oils to the surface. When the product is new, the natural waxes may form a milky looking film on the surface. Simply rub with a clean, dry, soft cloth to see the natural beauty emerge. Reoccurrence of this film will lessen with use over time.
Diamond Monogram Jacquard Fabric
On The Wings® Collection
Diamond monogram jacquard and stripe fabric is treated to repel water, dirt and stains, which makes cleaning easy. Clean with mild soap and cold water using a damp cloth. For best results, clean the entire panel evenly, not just the soiled area. Do not saturate the fabric. Allow to dry thoroughly. Spray with Scotchgard® to restore water and stain resistance properties.*

English Bridle Leather
On The Luxe™ Collection

Polycarbonate
On the PC4 Collection
Wipe down the entire outside surface with Pledge® Wipes or Pledge® spray and a non-abrasive dry cloth. For best results, clean the entire panel, not just the smudged area. These cleaners should not be used on leather trim®.*

Linings
All cases are lined with fabrics that are treated to repel moisture and resist permanent staining, which makes cleaning easy. Most soil and stains can be removed by using commercially available spot removers such as K- 2R®.*

Hardware
Avoid oiling locks or hinges, since oil may leak in and stain case linings or clothing. If hardware should become scratched, rub lightly with fine steel wool and re-seal with lacquer or clear nail polish.*

Material Information
Aviator Leather
The softly milled, full-grain leather is light weight and has been chosen for its easy feel and extreme durability. This chrome tanned leather with an exterior aniline finish is designed to withstand extreme harsh conditions while maintaining its quality and style.
Belting Leather
For more than 60 years, Belting leather has been the finest leather available in the industry and synonymous with Hartmann. Industrial Belting Leather was originally used as belts for machinery in the 1800's; hence the name and its strength. The full-grain leather is selected from young steer hides, chosen for their beauty and durability. Our 100% natural vegetable vat-tanning process allows the leather to retain all of its unique characteristics, "nature's beauty marks," such as barbed wire scratches and fat wrinkles, giving each Hartmann piece individuality not found in other leathers. The leather is is finished with a full aniline dye system to provide rich color and water resistance that will age handsomely.
Capital™ Collection Leather
The Capital Collection is handcrafted using a full-grain upper cowhide that is chrome tanned with a vegetable re-tannage. It is finished with an aniline system that provides for vibrant color definition and a semi-lustrous surface look. The leather is "struck through" to penetrate the entire hide to prevent discoloration from abrasions.
Full Grain Leather
Hartmann uses the finest full-grain leather from steer hides, which are chrome-tanned with a vegetable re-tannage. The leather is struck through with a re-tan formula in which the dyestuffs penetrate through the entire hide to prevent discoloration from abrasions. The leather is then finished with a semi-aniline system that provides for vibrant color definition and a semi-lustrous surface look.
Intensity® Ballistic Nylon Fabric
The Intensity Collection is handcrafted using ballistic nylon, the same material used in bullet proof vests. This self-healing, 1050 denier ballistic nylon is coated with a durable water-resistant finish to repel grease and dirt. This fabric combines the best of scuff- and tear-resistance with the beauty and durability for which Hartmann products are known.
Luxe™ Italian Embossed Leather
The sumptuous embossed leather features a Crocodile imprint design with a lightweight feel. The Embossed Croc Leather is the perfect combination of extreme durability, modern performance and timeless style.
Luxe™ Wool
The Luxe Collection is handcrafted from durable wool/nylon blend fabrics that are woven in the U.S.A. by Woolrich® and are treated to repel water and stains. They are backed with sateen for extra strength and firmness.
Packcloth
Constructed from woven nylon fabric, Packcloth provides lightweight durable performance. These fabrics offer enhanced tear and abrasion resistance.
Tweed™ Fabric
For more than 35 years, Hartmann’s exclusive Tweed fabric has been woven in the U.S.A. from super strength nylon for unsurpassed durability in a blend of colors that stay crisp looking for many years. This fabric is easy to care for, maintains its shape, color and strength and does not scuff or fray. It is treated to repel grease, dirt and stains.
Wings® Diamond Monogram Jacquard Fabric
The Wings Collection is constructed of a 100% polyester jacquard and stripe fabric in a Diamond Monogram pattern, which is woven exclusively for Hartmann. This fabric is treated for lasting protection against water, stains and dirt. In durability tests, the Diamond Monogram fabric was found to be highly resistant to abrasion, water, and oil.
PC4-Polycarbonate
State-of-the-art high-gloss 100% virgin polycarbonate technology, this high density, streamlined design offers four polycarbonate layers with exceptionally high levels of impact resistance. With four polycarbonate layers of engineered performance, PC4 maintains its color even when scratched. This collection features water and stain resistant coordinating interior lining.

Online Orders Return Policy
Hartmann.com guarantees total customer satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied with your online purchase, you may return unused merchandise within 30 days of the original shipped date for a prompt refund. You will be refunded for the merchandise total, plus applicable sales tax paid. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable unless product arrives damaged or the incorrect product was shipped. Please allow 14 business days for us to process your return. Please allow 1 to 2 billing cycles for the credit to show up on your credit card statement.
Please return your unused merchandise by following the instructions below.
If you return any part of your order and that order was part of a promotion, any refund may be reduced.

- Locate the order you wish to return and select 'View Order' button.
- Locate the item you wish to return and select 'Return an Item' button.
- Follow the direction on the following screen and ship via insured and prepaid to the address on the paperwork. Keep the tracking information for this return in a safe location.

Merchandise must be returned to the Hartmann Factory Store where the product was purchased. If for some reason you cannot return the product to the point of purchase, we offer two options.

Warranty Repair Process
To receive warranty service, please take or ship your product to one of our Hartmann authorized repair centers. Please check our list of authorized repair centers to find the location nearest you If a repair facility is not convenient for you, you may complete the Repair Request Form and ship the luggage to the nearest authorized repair center. Detailed instructions are provided on the repair form.
The Authorized Repair Center will make the final determination on the status of the product with the possible following outcomes:

The product is repairable and covered under warranty
- The product will be repaired at Hartmann's expense and returned to you.

The product is not repairable and covered under warranty
- If the same product is in stock, the product will be sent directly to you. If the product is unavailable, a comparable item will be sent. In the case that a comparable product is unavailable, you will be contacted directly by a Hartmann representative.

The product is repairable and not covered under warranty
- If it is determined that the product is repairable but is not covered under warranty, you may either have the product returned to you un-repaired, or have the product repaired at your own expense.

The product is not repairable and not covered under warranty
- You can elect to have the Authorized Repair Center send the product back to you un-repaired, or you may ask the Authorized Repair Center to dispose of the product.
Replacement Parts
Certain replacement parts are available for purchase, along with a small shipping charge through Consumer Relations. These include: Keys; Padlocks for Softside Luggage; ID Tags; and Detachable Shoulder Straps.

Please note: Repair services and parts offered by our dealers are independent of Hartmann and are priced at the sole discretion of the dealer. Hartmann Factory Store Gift Cards are available for purchase from $5 to $500 denominations in-store only. At this time they are not available for purchase or use online. Gift Cards are valid to be used toward the purchase of merchandise at any Hartmann Factory Store location in the United States. Gift Cards are not valid for purchases made on www.hartmann.com or Amazon.com. Gift cards must be redeemed in their country of purchase and activation.
To check the balance of your Hartmann Factory Store Gift Card over the phone, you will need your card’s 16-digit account number. This number can be found on the back of your Hartmann Factory Store Gift Card. For security purposes, some of the digits have been covered with a scratch-off panel that you will need to remove to view the full account number.
Except where required by law, Gift Cards cannot be returned or redeemed for cash. Hartmann Factory Stores are not responsible for lost or stolen cards. Gift Cards will not expire. Purchases of Gift Cards are not subject to tax.
